about

Inisheer
The name of this tune was inspired by an island off the western coast of Ireland. At a recent performance someone in the audience informed us that the island is quite craggy and unattractive, known for nothing other then the act that there is a brewery on it. The composer, Tom Walsh, must have seen some beauty in the island and wrote this lovely, simple tune.
