about

Down by the Brae/Boys of Ballysdare/The Keel Row
We found Down the Brae in a hammered dulcimer book by Sarah Johnson, the “Kitchen Musician.” We added our own accompaniments. Boys of Ballysdare is a jovial Irish tune we jazzed up a little. The Keel Row is a short sweet Scottish tune made very interesting with Constance’s whistle part.

lyrics

Oh, weel may the keel row,
The keel row, the keel row,
Weel may the keel row
That my laddie’s in.
